Some Thoughts

So I was thinking, since I have a little bit more time to breath since the summer season is pretty much done and we're in our fall shoulder season, I thought I'd start my blog and see if I can keep it going....time will only tell... :p

Anyways so Curtis and I thought we'd try to attempt at preparing for a marath
on. Now since we've been married both of us have gained weight :( and we need the workout. We started a program for novice marathon runners, and we've only just begun :S. I'm doing alright for now, but my shins/calves (I can't tell what is what because its super sore on the inner part of my lower leg). We haven't any idea which marathon we're running or where we're running. I don't even know if we'll have money to pay for the marathon registration so we thought well maybe we'll run that amount of distance, at least we know we could complete a marathon. Maybe some day we'll be able to be apart of a marathon. So far we've been running in the mornings along the George Mickelson Trail and its awesome. Not just because of the gorgeous trail, but it sucks when you try to run and ther
e's no sidewalk. So you have to run on the side of the road, and you have to worry if a car is gonna hit you or not :S Its nice to have a trail where the only kind of traffic you have to worry about is bikes and horses. Its not even that busy, I think every time I've gone running on the trail, I've seen a handful of people. You have to pay to use the trail, which kinda sucks, but its not really expensive. Its only $15 for an annual pass and $3 daily use. So obviously I bought an annual pass, now Curtis has to buy one :). Technically he runs on it, we just haven't had anyone check. The Mickelson Trail is 109 miles from Deadwood, to Edgemont, SD. Some day we want to actually run/hike the entire trail and camp along the way. Maybe someday. Its funny because we see cross country bicyclist, and part of me wishes I could do that. On the other hand, you're on a bicycle, I've never ridden a road bike, and it scares me :p. One step at a time, that's all I can say.

Just one last thought, how do you work these things? Really? The whole templates and gadgets and what not. Really confusing. I think I'm slowly getting the hang of things, but I've been thinking, can someone explain this to me? I'm so lost! Till then things will look a little funky ;)
